The mass communication scholars argue that the mass media is excessively concentrated and its contents are always changing to reflect the interests of the elites. There are various factors that influence media. It has been repeatedly argued that conflicts make perfect news-value for the media. Johan Galtung, the pioneer of the concept of Peace Journalism points out that the media has an inclination towards negative reporting. Meanwhile, peace initiatives seldom make the headlines. Public does not understand the context of many conflicts due to superficial reporting by newspapers and broadcasting stations. On the basis of all these arguments, this book investigates and gives answers to many questions like how US and Pakistan's print media used the News frames to cover Yemen issue, whether peace journalism is prioritised or war journalism while framing Yemen conflict and how come peace journalism is still considered to be an idealistic approach, whose time has not come. The whole research enclosed in this book can assist mass media training institutions to modify peace journalism programs and to expand the awareness of peace journalism around the globe.
