Water being international, indispensable, and emotional can serve as a cornerstone for confidence building and a potential entry point for peace. All above mentioned techniques and policies can be utilized to mitigate water scarcity and poor water quality and give equal access to clean and safe water for all human beings. More research could help identify exactly how water best contributes to cooperation. With this, cooperative water resources management could be used more effectively to head off conflict and to support sustainable peace among nations.
