Alexander Kazarnovsky born in 1951. Since 1967 he has been publishing poems, essays and poetic translations in the Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper. In the 1980s, he published the poetic translations of James Joyce, R. Frost, G. Longfellow, C. Brentano, F. Ruckert, as well as modern English, American and German authors. His translations were published by the publishing houses: "Raduga", "Progress", in the supplement to the magazine, "Ogonyok,]", in the newspaper, "Moskovsky Komsomolets", and in the almanac, "Poetry".In 1993 he immigrated to Israel.His works were published in the periodicals: "Vesti", "Nedelya", "News of the Week", as well as in the newspaper "Panorama" published in Los Angeles. In 2005, he published the novel 'Battlefield by the Moonlight' in Jerusalem. In the same year, he received the Jerusalem Olive Award for this novel in the Pages and Lines nomination. Circulation very quickly sold out in Russia, Israel and the United States. In 2011, his second novel, 'The Four Wings of the Earth', was published.Currently, his essays and stories are regularly published in the 'Novosti Nedeli' newspaper, on the websites "We Are Here", "Krugozor", and other periodicals and websites in Israel, the USA, Canada, Germany, Russia, and Ukraine. His stories and essays were published in the collections called: 'Not Here and Not Now', 'Schisandra-1', 'Schisandra-2', 'Through the Eyes of the Heart', and 'Milky Way'. He is a special correspondent for the Internet site "Krugozor" and a member of the editorial board on the site, "We are Schoolchildren". In the fall of 2005, he published a book of essays called "Massacre". His poems, essays, plays and stories were published in the "Limonnik" collections, as well as in the almanac "The Most Important Miracle", and other almanacs published by the "Helen Limonova Publishing House" In 2021, his story "I Put Guards on your Walls" was published in the "New Journal", in New York.Today he continues to write poetry, prose and essays and hopes that everything that the heroes of his novels dream about will one day come true.In 2021, he became a laureate of the "Open Eurasia" competition (3rd Place) in the "Poetry" nomination.
