Ronald W. Lawrence practiced as a Marriage and Family Therapist and Mental Health professional for over thirty years. As a gay man he entered practice in the middle of the HIV epidemic but since the disease affected so many gay men, he found it necessary to deal with the ever present societal phenomenon of the emergence of his subculture into the awarenee of the wider culture.
