Suddenly the impulse to go for a hunt in the forest becomes strong enough to make Rusty enter, not knowing that it would change his life forever. In the forest the four cat Clans hunt: ThunderClan-fierce and brave, ShadowClan-wily and proud, WindClan-swift and loyal and RiverClan-clever and strong. Rusty joins ThunderClan under the apprentice name Firepaw and soon has made many friends as well as foes. But the forest is a hard place to survive and not all cats trust Firepaw. And then there is the dark tabby tom Tigerclaw, a warrior which seems to not like Firepaw in particular. But why? While Firepaw trains to be a warrior he doesn’t knows that he is part of a prophecy and the only cat able to free the forest of the evil that walks within. Will he succeed? Or will a warrior shut his jaws forever?
I like this book a lot, because it is a fascinating story with all the elements a on the basic fantasy written book needs: Friendship, love, enemys and war. The book is appropriate for children at the age of 10.
