It is well known that healthy people can cope and prevent a disaster when sick people cannot and that an environment that is contaminated with waste is a serious hazard to the community. From the vulnerability, disaster risk assessment, disaster risk reduction, community participation, copying capacity, resilience and several other health issues are addressed in this book and involving the army in waste management, since during peacetime they do not have much to do, the battalion may rotate monthly according to their roster.
