Watch the Watch is an illustrated children's book. It is both fun and educational. Watch the Watch is an illustrated children's book. It is both fun and educational. It consists of mini-stories full of alliteration and tongue twisters that are based on word conversions (or zero-derivatives)-when a single word serves as two different parts of speech. Watch the Watch targets 3 reading levels of children: 1) a non-reader who has fun finding the mystery bear on every page; 2) a young reader who is capable of reading the short heading on each page that introduces the word conversion; and 3) the advanced reader who is challenged by the alliteration and tongue twisters of the mini-story on each page. Siblings ages 4, 8 and 12 will enjoy reading Watch the Watch together. A young reader can read alone as she sounds out the heading of each page and then examines the supportive and humorous illustrations. With headings like "Pick a Pick," "Floss with Floss," or "Boxes the Boxes," the child only needs to sound out one word to know the subject of that mini-story.
