Safe drinking water is essential to humans and other lifeforms. Access to safe drinking water has improved over the last decades in almost every part of the world, but approximately one billion people still lack access to safe water and over 2.5 billion lack access to adequate sanitation. Safe drinking water is essential to humans and other lifeforms. Access to safe drinking water has improved over the last decades in almost every part of the world, but approximately one billion people still lack access to safe water and over 2.5 billion lack access to adequate sanitation. However, some observers have estimated that by 2025 more than half of the world population will be facing water-based vulnerability. A recent report suggests that by 2030, in some developing regions of the world, water demand will exceed supply by 50%. In this book, I try to make people aware about the importance of pure drinking water. This study indicated that most of the samples were contaminated either due to one or more reasons. Only the pH, Barium and potassium value of all the samples was in permissible range while Electrical Conductivity of 100 % and Calcium of 28.57 %,TS of 71.42%,Total hardness of 85.72% and Sodium of 42.86% and Sulfate of 85.72% samples were found high than the WHO/Pakistan standards. These results compelled us to conclude that the quality of drinking water of Tehsil Mir Ali is highly contaminated and it is suggested that only treated water should be used for drinking.
