MBBR will be used in some of the processes, with some modifications. COD removal, as well as COD and nutrient removal, will be investigated under various primary treatments. There is a need for smaller biological reactor volumes and secondary settling surfaces. Finally, the findings suggest the MBBR is used as a Biofilm carrier with polyethylene media has a lot of potential for removing OMs from water and wastewater. This research may help determine whether the moving bed Biofilm process is a good and effective way to remove all nutrients from urban wastewater.
