The research method is explanatory and correlational, with a longitudinal quasi-experimental design, for which the difference-in-difference (DD) model has been designed. Results. The implementation of the rural sanitation project has made it possible to provide adequate basic drinking water and sewage services, reducing waterborne diseases and improving the living conditions of the population in the treatment group compared to the control group.
