This book was born from the interest of two colleagues, both geographers, teachers and researchers, who are interested in capturing the complexities that the metropolitan territory of Buenos Aires presents. In particular, we were motivated by the disputes that occur in urban waterfronts, the differential valuations that are manifested and the resulting territorialities. That is to say, we tried to approach a writing that includes nature, urban space, environment, territory, social actors, conflicts, interests and opposing logics, transformations, problems and impacts. Of course, this is a topic that will continue to be developed and deepened throughout our postgraduate training, but we did not want to stop sharing the progress we have been making to inform, raise awareness and provide material for research and education.
