Kistareddypet is a small village with a present population of about 4000 people. It is situated in the Patancheru mandal of Medak district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. About 600 acres (2.4 km2) of land come under the village limits of Kistareddypet.The Kistareddypet water tank is situated on the north-east border of the village between Kistareddypet and Sultanpur. 70% of the water tank falls within the limits of Sultanpur and the balance 30% in Kistareddypet.
