This book represents the common aspects of water quality, focusing on general characteristics of domestic water. The study of water quality draws information from a variety of disciplines including physical, chemical, and biological factors.The present study is a preliminary analysis of gorge water collected from the region of Peringavu locality in Thrissur district, Kerala. The selected water body is mainly utilized for agricultural purposes and domestic purposes. But somehow, certain anthropological activities had destroyed its ecological balance. The effects of these activities can often be minimized through proper management and early detection of problems through testing. This book employs only first hand information about water quality and is well-suited as a general introductory material for readers.
