The treated water is one of the basic needs that is part of the health of the human being, so it becomes necessary to carry out a case study, based on the water treatment plant in the city of Campinas. This station belongs to SANASA and is characterized as ETA 3 and ETA 4, has the capture made in the river Atibaia and serves about 80% of the population of Campinas, one of the largest cities of the state of São Paulo. In order to better understand how all stages of the water treatment process are done, a technical visit was carried out following all stages from the entry of the raw water to its exit from the treated water that goes to distribution. This work also consists of seeking a general understanding of water, and showing important concepts such as pollution, contamination, among others.
