Autorenporträt
Steve Tersmette was introduced to the mountains by his father at a young age and grew up hiking and backpacking in the Canadian Rockies. In 2006 he moved to Kimberley, where he continues to explore the mountains with his friends, wife, and two young children. In 2017, along with his best friend and climbing partner, he became the first to traverse the Purcell Mountains on foot in the summer by trekking from near Kimberley to Rogers Pass. Steve is also an avid climber and mountaineer and has established first ascents and new climbing routes in both the Purcells and the Rockies. He actively volunteers with the East Kootenay Climbing Association to advocate for, maintain, and develop outdoor climbing in southeastern BC. He lives in Kimberley, British Columbia.
