As a young girl Nancy Avery knew she wanted to become a teacher. Her mother was her inspiration, who taught elementary school for 37 years! After 30 wonderful years of teaching elementary school herself, she retired in 2018. Her love of children motivated her to write her first of a series of books about Australia. Nancy wanted to find a way to hook her students interest before introducing a geography lesson about Australia. Her goal is to have her main characters travel to each continent sharing factual information and their adventures with young children.
