This book is a study of wax deposition, a phenomenon that is one of the main flow assurance problems faced by the oil industry, affecting numerous oil companies around the world. Wax deposition can lead to reduce or interrupt oil production. The aim of this book is to study the problem of wax deposition through hydrocarbon production and study experimentally the influence of mitigation methods on wax deposition to increase crude oil production. The book contains 8 chapters, chapter 1 presents an introduction to wax deposition. Chapter 2 reviews the main fluid flow assurance issues associated…mehr

Produktbeschreibung
This book is a study of wax deposition, a phenomenon that is one of the main flow assurance problems faced by the oil industry, affecting numerous oil companies around the world. Wax deposition can lead to reduce or interrupt oil production. The aim of this book is to study the problem of wax deposition through hydrocarbon production and study experimentally the influence of mitigation methods on wax deposition to increase crude oil production. The book contains 8 chapters, chapter 1 presents an introduction to wax deposition. Chapter 2 reviews the main fluid flow assurance issues associated with multiphase transport in oil fields. Chapter 3 describes in details of wax deposition process in hydrocarbon production. Chapter 4 presents wax mitigation methods. Chapter 5 reviews the followed experimental methodology. Chapter 6 discusses the results of using the effect of the chemical inhibitors on crude oil rheology. Chapter 7 discusses the results of the experiments and investigate the effect of the chemical inhibitor and spiral flow on wax deposit. Chapter 8 presents the conclusions of the research and recommendations for future work.
