We Belong in History includes writing by: William Stafford, Poet Laureate of Oregon, winner of the National Book Award for Poetry, Consultant to the Library of Congress in Poetry. Paulann Petersen, is the sixth poet laureate of Oregon, the author of six collections of poetry, a former Stegner Fellow in Poetry at Stanford University, and the recipient of the 2006 Holbrook Award from Literary Arts of Oregon. Middle and secondary school students from throughout the state of Oregon. Erin Fox Ocón, an experienced Oregon teacher who has worked intensively with the William Stafford Archives at Lewis & Clark College to develop hands-on curricula that allow students to develop their own craft and voice as writers. Robin Scialaba is an experienced Oregon teacher who has worked extensively with the William Stafford archives at Lewis & Clark College to develop hands-on curricula that allow students to develop their own habits, skills, and voices as writers.
