Now in paperback, this psychological sci-fi thriller from a debut author follows one doctor who must discover the source of her crew's madness…or risk succumbing to it herself. Dr. Grace Park is the behavioral psychologist onboard the Deucalion, a survey ship headed to a planet ripe for colonization. Her purpose is to observe the thirteen crew members-all specialists in their own fields-for aberrant behaviors as they make this trip across the stars. Park herself has always been more comfortable around androids than people, while most of the crew treat the androids on the ship with anything from neutrality to outright hostility. When a radiation storm limits their communication outside the planet's atmosphere and members of the crew slowly start growing ill, wandering the ship in waking dreams and suffering mental breaks, it is up to Park to determine the cause of this strange phenomenon. But conditions worsen every day-and she fears she might be losing her own mind in the process. As tensions come to a head between crewmembers and androids, will she be able to uncover the source of these mysterious occurrences? Or will she succumb to the spreading delusions herself?
