Author Marcia Shanea Johnson-Watley is the daughter of the late Berkley and Eartha Johnson. She was born two days before Labor Day on the first of September 1973. The unique life of the author is that she is an unexpected daughter to parents who were in their forties when she was conceived and born. Her brother was already thirteen years old. She is known as the baby of the family. This book depicts her childhood life with her father as his only little girl and that is special within itself. It also describe how the author adoration of an imperfect father who of course in the eyes of a little girl was perfect. The author loves to write in her spare time and enjoys being the teacher to 24 kindergarteners. The author currently lives in Orangeburg, South Carolina with her husband Kevin Watley who is also a teacher and five children.
