Autorenporträt
Marc was born in New Jersey and grew up in suburban Philadelphia. He graduated from Hampton University in 1988. He enjoys writing, reading, cooking, art, photography, Black History, and long walks on the beach. He has a 16 year-old son Mingus, who, along with his father, enjoys vacations on Martha's Vineyard with family and friends.Maureen B. Harris is a native Philadelphian who now lives in Silver Spring, MD. She changed careers in the early 90s to become a middle-school English teacher and claims that to be one of her two most significant life achievements, the other being raising her two children. In addition to teaching English, Maureen also directed children's choirs for about thirty years, in church and school. Maureen loves to learn, thus her contributions to this book, and its predecessor. She loves to write poetry and read a variety of books. She continues to sing, dance and delight in her children, her siblings, and her four grandchildren.
