It's obvious to most Christians that we are living in a society that has become increasingly intolerant of Biblical morals and standards. The progressive amorality of our culture is being promulgated through the educational system, political agendas and the entertainment industry. This is not a new condition by any means. The historical accounts in the Bible attest to the antagonism of the unbelieving world to the ideals established for man by God. What has been somewhat unusual in this generation, is the degree to which this amorality and immorality has penetrated the Christian church using deceptive techniques and twisted theology to gain acceptance. False preachers have introduced "another Gospel" and are multiplying disciples rapidly across the nation. We have not been left in the dark on this issue. Jude, the brother of James and half-brother of Jesus, wrote a letter to the church dealing with this very issue. In it, he uses an inspired, pointed style to open the curtain and expose the apostate preachers who were infiltrating even the first century church. In this book, pastor Tom attempts to merge some of his own experiences as a pastor with contemporary examples of modern-day preachers gone amuck, with clear, practical and incisive interpretation of this final epistle written to the church. This book was written to warn believers as well as offer help in making sense out of the changing church climate in America. If you have wondered why the modern church has changed so much over the last decade, and have become skeptical to the organized church, this book is a must read. Pastor Tom goes through the epistle of Jude phrase-by-phrase, verse-by-verse, to make it easier to understand while making application to the current church atmosphere. Let, We were warned! arm you to do battle along-side other believers, and encourage you to keep seeking truth, defending the Gospel and remaining faithful to our Lord Jesus Christ.

Autorenporträt
Thomas Vent is an ordained minister, church planter, counselor and writer. He emerged from being raised in a broken home in a small town with 3 other siblings, to serve in various church ministries for over twenty-five years. After graduating from college with a bachelor's degree in theology, Tom developed a burden for the practical exposition of scriptures, which he maintained consistently throughout his ministries as a pastor. Whether speaking from the pulpit, teaching a class or sharing by writing, he loves to explain Biblical truth by interjecting life experiences, real world events and personal insights. More than anything else, Tom feels a deep devotion to and love for God's word and enjoys showing how it reveals the wonders of Christ throughout. He currently resides in the Midwest with his wife and high school sweetheart of 41 years, Cynthia. He was blessed with 5 children and 16 grandchildren (so far) who constantly keep him laughing and running around. When he is not working or studying, Tom can usually be found just enjoying life with his family, kids and grandchildren.
