This study, primarily describes definition of remote sensing and development of it in the historical process. Then, study focuses on the basics of remote sensing. And also, the electromagnetic spectrum is expressed in detail. The events of Rayleigh scattering, Mie scattering, unselective scattering occurring in atmospheric the corridor are explained. On the other hand, Wien's law is expressed in understandable level by starting from the incident blackbody radiation that generates the diffusion. In the last stage, information is given about meteorological satellites which have importance in the sensor platforms. The mentioned subjects will be very helpful to researchers about especially in remote sensing topics.
