Autorenporträt
Theo Moorman, MBE (1907-1990) was a dedicated artist weaver. She developed an innovative weaving technique (the Moorman technique), and is known for her teaching, as well as her large commissioned works found in cathedrals and churches throughout Great Britain and the United States. Her greatest output in later years was in weaving wall hangings, mainly designed for private houses. In the 1970s, responding to the demand from weavers for teaching, she held workshops throughout the USA each summer for ten consecutive years. Her book Weaving as an Art Form was originally published in 1975.
