The weaving industry is essentially divided into two main phases: weaving preparation and weaving itself. In order to be competitive, one must act and optimize the different cycle phases of the weaving preparation. Therefore, it is necessary to know and master all the working procedures of the different stages of the weaving preparation as well as the warping calculation and to make the right choice of the material and raw material. The time control and the optimization of the working procedures at the level of the preparation to weaving remain a major stake for the industrialists. In this context, several technical solutions are proposed by weaving preparation equipment suppliers. These solutions allow us to offer more reliable and simpler procedures in terms of working time and to optimize the different costs. In this work we have presented the steps of the weaving preparation which can be done manually, semi-automatically or fully automated with automatic article change systems. The different solutions are analyzed according to a real case of a weaving industry.

Actualmente, es profesor universitario en el Departamento de Ingeniería Textil de la Escuela Nacional de Ingenieros de Monastir - Universidad de Monastir e investigador en el Laboratorio de Sistemas Térmicos y Energéticos (LESTE).
