Autorenporträt
Barbara Towell lives with her husband, John, in West London. In addition to being a playwright and poet, she is the author of the successful international novel - A Little Piece for Mother which was the inspiration for Aftermath. Indeed, she has published other works in many genres. With her husband John, she wrote the musical Faith is the Key, which was staged in Harrow and for the Dumfries Festival, Scotland. Her other published plays and monologues include: Drama for Young Performers, Wedding Bells, Kenneth - and Night Duty, co-written with David Stroud and staged at East Lane Theatre, Wembley, in July 2023. She is an experienced English and Drama teacher who has enjoyed writing and directing productions over many years. In 2013 she was lucky enough to win the Harrow Libraries' Crime Writing Competition, and prior to that, the Harrow Millennium Carol Writing Competition. In addition to having a busy music and writing life, Barbara co-runs the Pinner Writers Group with Nick Horgan. Her aim is to inspire and help others to achieve their writing ambitions.
