The gifted author and illustrator Jacqueline Malman lives on Staten Island, in New York City. She was a devoted first-grade teacher. Wee Willie was a birthday present from her husband. Wee Willie's parents were American Kennel Club champion show dogs. As of the 50TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION, Jacqueline is blessed beyond measure to be a mother of two beloved children: Stanford and Elizabeth. Jacqueline is also blessed to be a grandmother to four beloved grandchildren: Abigail and Molly Forrester, and Mariah and Ari Bartolai.
