People are compelled to travel to different locations in order to earn and remit so that they can support their families. So the study's main goals are to outline the wide demographics of out-migrants from Odisha and to reveal the reality of such migrants' socioeconomic participation in domestic household management. Major findings of a mixed method research followed are; 1) Out-migration is out of compulsion, 2) Migrating through agents is heartening, 3) Out-migrants are actively participating in social and economic activities at native places, 4) Health and education facilities are available, accessible and affordable by the out-migrants, 5) Out-migrants are not participating socially at the migrated place, 6) Out-migrants are participating economically at the place of work, 7) Out-migrants are enjoying autonomy, 8) Out-migrants have Environmental Mastery, 9) Out-migrants have experienced personal growth, 10) Out-migrants have positive relation with others, 11) Out-migrants purpose in life, 12) Out-migrants have self acceptance, and 13) There is high degree of correlation between any two constructs of the six constructs considered in Ryff's Scale of psychological well-being.
