Autorenporträt
I was born and grew up here in Toronto and have seen this city go through many changes over the years. I struggled as a single mother and worked at various jobs, learning something from each one in the process. I never had a career and considered myself to be a "Jill of all trades." Back then I really was a "Half-starved poet." Over the years I've shrank a bit and put on some weight, so now I feel that I'm well-fed physically but also with knowledge. I've had many good friends over the years and miss the ones who have passed away. Some I simply out-grew and disconnected from. Luckily, I still have my eight great brothers and sisters who I grew up with. We talk and get together when we can and it's always uplifting. I love them and my nieces and nephews too. I fully intend to enjoy this last phase of my life and urge others to do the same. Sage Stevens
