Illustrations were hand painted with watercolor and ink by the artist and scientist, Katie Sokolowski PhD, DABT. Ruth has a passion for teaching young children through her stories and adores the stages of motherhood, which is often the subject of her stories. The dozens of stories written by Ruth in her 80s and 90s are now being published with the efforts of her daughter and editor, Wendy Streight, PhD. Wendy is an accomplished scientist and business women who owned her own children's furniture stores with her husband. Wendy discovered the illustrator, Katie, through work-related functions. Katie is educated as a neuroscientist and toxicologist, but has always maintained artistic talents. After reading Ruth's stories, Katie saw the emotion and nostalgia in the stories that inspired the full page illustrations in this book. Wendy and Katie worked closely to bring Ruth's stories into this beautiful story book for you to enjoy with the children in your life!
