Ten Hausa video films were purposively selected for their textual, thematic and cultural features: Amaliya, Uwar Miji, Da kishiya gida, Basma (Nigeria); Angama, Zaman Aure, Kishin Kishiya (Ghana); Gidan hajiya, Zaman daya, Nadiya (Niger Republic). Data were subjected to critical analysis.
