West of Gabal Monqul represents a part of the north Eastern Desert of Egypt, covering ~ 470km2. The area are composed of Island arc system, Calc-alkaline plutonites and Rifting system. The interpretations of geochemistry and mineral chemistry verified the calc-alkaline arc suite for the investigated metavolcanics and metagabbro-diorite association. Older granitoids are most probably derived from unfractionated, calc-alkaline metaluminous magma which are tectonically emplaced in arcorogenic suite.
