Hunter is just getting used to life as a vampire detective when he begins developing a remarkable new ability - one that none of his fellow agents at The Order have ever witnessed. While he tries to control this new power, Hunter, his lover, Kai, and fellow agents from the Dallas bureau are summoned to San Francisco, where there is evidence a project to mutate ordinary citizens into human-animal hybrids has resumed. What Hunter learns about his true self could help in tracking down those responsible - and could put his comrades in mortal jeopardy. Praise for West of Nowhere: McPherson's style awakens old world vampire stories and entwines them with mystery/thriller overtones, making the resultant narrative decidedly unique... West of Nowhere weaves a wealth of supernatural fantasy components together, interlacing them with themes of belonging and regret into one intense, fast-moving story. --The BookLife PrizeHinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
Chase McPherson (née Erwin) was born in Artesia, New Mexico but has spent his life between Texas, Florida, and in Alabama, where he met his husband, Tyler. He holds an Associate of Arts and a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from the University of Phoenix. Chase believes that anyone who can read is also a writer, regardless of the message or method. He has embraced new media such as Twitter because of its ability to broadcast anybody's thoughts and spark dialogue between friends as well as strangers on other sides of the world. One of Chase's favorite causes is public television, a service he cites as the reason he got into writing and communication. He also supports GLAAD and local pet rescue charities. He also supports Take This, a mental health organization focusing on the gaming community.
