During the 60's and 70's the lush green hills and meadows of the west San Fernando Valley, a fast growing section of Los Angeles, California was increasing in value almost with every tick of the clock. The population once attracted by the rural environment was slowly giving in to the large sums of money offered for their ranches and farms. The future of the beautiful open ranges would be changed forever by land developers who planned high-rise buildings and massive parking lots for thousands of automobiles. There were however some land owners who refused the large sums of money for their homes and property. For those few who would not bow to the mighty dollars and deep pockets of the developers, they were sometimes met with political pressures and when that failed there was always murder.
