This work deals with the interaction between Western education and Zimbabwean cultural Identity. It analyses Tsitsi Dangarembga's Nervous Conditions and throws light on the way Zimbabwean cultural identity has been influenced by European culture. The objective of the study is to show that British colonization has been the source of a new cultural identity in Zimbabwe. To reach this goal, we use postcolonial theory mainly the theoretical concepts such as mimicry and hybridity which help us to understand that the new identity of Zimbabweans is the hybrid one.
