Unfortunately, new medical research have found that the same aspirin could develop blindness diseases such as the wet age-related macular degeneration disease. The study reviewed 2,389 people whose average age was in the mid-60s. Scientists have mentioned that a tenth of them were taking aspirin at least once weekly. Therefore, the medical researchers had followed the participants closely where they made sure that the lattter had their eyes tested every five years for 15 years. As a result, the medical scientists have detected that 9.3% of regular aspirin users suffered wet age-related macular degeneration while 3.7% of those who didn't take it regularly also developed the disease.
