M-type hexaferrites MFe12O19 (M is Ba, Sr or Pb) are being used in the bulk form in many electrical and electronic devices. Development of high quality low cost and low loss materials with suitable structural, magnetic and electrical properties is an ever challenging aspect of investigation. Magnetic as well as electrical properties are sensitive to the processing conditions and the nature of (partial) substitution of Fe by other divalent, trivalent, tetravalent or divalent- tetravalent ions combination. In the present work pure Co-Zr doped M-type Sr-hexaferrites have been synthesized by wet methods using ethylene glycol as a fuel and their structural, magnetic, properties have been studied.
