Richard (Dick) Fleming is a registered Maine Sea Kayaking Guide. He also holds a Maine Recreational Guide license and is an ACA certified sea kayaking instructor. Dick has worked for many outfitters over the years, most recently as a kayaking instructor for LL Bean. Dick was an officer and pilot in the Civil Air Patrol and participated in many search and rescue activities with the U.S. Coast Guard. He also served as a Force Recon Marine during the Vietnam War and is the author of Chasing Charlie - A Recon Scout in Vietnam. He currently lives in Freeport, Maine.
