A singer songwriter, she was called "a musical instrument linked to a soul" for her passionate portrayal of Edith Piaf in a play she co-wrote. She lives on an island in Howe Sound. Elizabeth May is leader of the Green Party of Canada and was the first elected Green Party Member of Parliament. Formerly the executive director of the Sierra Club of Canada, she lives in Sidney, British Columbia.
