Autorenporträt
My life, inheritance, and culture has always been surrounded with the art of telling stories. When I was child I would listening to my Daddy and other men make up tales. My family is a huge family, huge, at family gathering, the grown ups would sat on the porch and "scatt". Someone choose a word, the circle of men follow with a story pertaining to the word. I so much wanted to be apart of that scene. No children allow to tell tales. I began writing stories and reading to the all children at our weekend and reunion celebration. We live down the road from the Adais Nation Tribe, Chief Rufus Davis is the tribe chief. They would tell stories of days pass I would listen and eager to share, I would repeat what I heard to others. The fire was lit, I had a fever to tell stories. I continue my storytelling adventure for years. Telling to infants, college student anyone who would listen. My son Mister and my husband Robert of 30 years has been my biggest fans. I moved from Natchitoches Louisiana to Michigan in 1975.
