Women and girls are always seen as having caring and loving personalities, but cultural practices keep them in a perpetual trap of dropping out of school or discourage them to pursue their careers in life and society. The teenage girls in the Buea municipality are not left out because most of them drop out of school before reaching secondary and high school. The data from this study were collected within two months in the Buea municipality and it covered the Baptist High School Soppo, Mount Carmel Secondary high school Muea-Buea. The instruments for data collection included oral interviews based on semi-structured questions, discussions, and observation of the situation on the ground. The data were analyzed with the use of qualitative methods. The study brought out the major reasons that caused teenage girls in the Buea municipality in Cameroon to drop out of school. The major reasons are either because of their family background or certain cultural values. These reasons were a result of the lack of moral lessons given to the girl children at home by their parents. Moral lessons concerning the changes in the body of a girl child are always taboo subjects. Financial reasons too.
