Rheta Childe Dorr (1868-1948) was an American author and social worker. After studying for two years at the University of Nebraska she became editor of the womans department of the New York Evening Post (1902-06), and a member of the staff of Hamptons Magazine (1908-11). She made special investigations as a worker in factories, mills, and department stores in order to study the labor conditions for women and children.
