Autorenporträt
Walter Gustafson was born in Massachusetts to immigrant Swedish parents. In his late teens he thought he would like to take up a career as a preacher. His problem was that he was not sure that he himself was right with God. How then could he tell others what to do? Shortly before turning twenty years of age he attended gospel meetings in Cliff Street Gospel Hall in Boston, Massachusetts. On the third occasion that he did so, on 2nd November, 1941, he was saved. Later that year he was baptized and was received into assembly fellowship early in 1942. He was commended to the work of the Lord in January, 1954 and laboured in the gospel and in ministry. He spent much time in the state of Vermont, especially over the first ten years, but has preached in all of the Canadian provinces and in many areas of the USA. More recently he has been occupied with writing while continuing his service in conversational Bible studies, teaching the Word of God in various assemblies and conferences, as well as preaching the gospel. When writing this commentary he recalled that on the first occasion he spoke at the Toronto conference in 1962 he took up as his subject "Revival in Hezekiah's Day". Chronicles has been a source of enjoyment through the years. Chronicles1_
