About the Author Sherry McMillan is an acclaimed children's poet who approaches her subjects with respect and curiosity. Sherry resides in White Rock, B.C. where she loves to explore the beautiful ecology of the Pacific Northwest in all its varieties. In What The Seal Saw, we explore the ocean and coastlines. In What The Raccoon Saw, we explore the old growth forests, mountains, and urban landscapes. Sherry McMillan is an author, speaker, technologist, and avid kayaker. About the Illustrator Carla Maskall is an award-winning artist who draws all of her inspiration for this book from the beautiful scenery of the province of British Columbia, Canada. Carla loves nature and has been drawing and painting since she was a child. She enjoys studying local wildlife and painting en plein air. Carla is very active in the arts community and especially loves working with children and seniors. Her work has been featured in multiple galleries, magazines, and books.
