A number of contemporary Irish artists are used as a sounding board, the poems following them, Alice-like, down their various rabbit-holes. Thrown into all of this mix are cameos from Harpo Marx and Mr. Punch, as well as opera-singing Alsatians.

This is Daragh Breen's third collection from Shearsman Books, preceded by Nostoc and What the Wolf Heard. His poetry has appeared in journals such as Blackbox Manifold, Tears in the Fence, Long Poem Magazine, Molly Bloom and The Fortnightly Review. He lives in Cork, Ireland.
