After five years of captivity with ISIS in Syria, the CIA unexpectedly rescues Natalie, an American who had been kidnapped and enslaved. Only she knows that ISIS allowed her rescue after training her for a mission in America. Upon her return home, she wrestles with whether to complete the mission she trained for, or to seek revenge on her kidnappers. Scared by her experience, she trusts no one but herself. Ron, a flawed private investigator, is battling guilt over his failure to find eight orphaned children sold by a shadowy organization to the highest bidder at the time he worked the case as a police detective six years ago. Natalie is one of the eight, and when he learns of her return, he is eager to join forces with her to find the remaining children and destroy the organization that took them. But when he suspects she is far more than a former enslaved girl, he realizes that partnering with her could be the biggest mistake of his life. ISIS and the organization are both trying to silence them. To survive, can Natalie and Ron find a way to trust each other before it is too late?
