Autorenporträt
Stella Stamatakis is the author of What's a Yiayia? A book about Grandmothers. Poppy Picker is her second book, and its inspiration came from when she lost the tip of her index finger at only two years of age. Her young students have always been fascinated about her missing digit. She delighted in making up many funny, entertaining, and sometimes slightly scary stories about how it disappeared. The Booger Monster version has always been a favourite, and thus the tale has come to life within these pages. Stella is loud, funny and adores making mischief. She lives in Melbourne with her husband Frank and their two children, Elle and Max. www.stellastamatakis.com
