Nora Elsayed is a first-generation Sudanese American hailing from Montgomery County, Maryland. Currently pursuing her studies in Business and Advertising/Public Relations at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Nora's journey into the world of writing began with her love for poetry."What's Left of Me" marks Nora's debut as an author, a remarkable achievement that she never quite envisioned when she started crafting poems in the 9th grade. As her college years unfolded, Nora felt a deep desire to weave her emotions and life experiences into a collection that could tell her unique story. Over the past two years, she curated her poems, molding them into a book that reflects the essence of her journey while continuing to add new pieces that reflect her evolving perspective.Poetry holds a special place in Nora's heart because of the boundless freedom it offers. She was introduced to it through her father and his love for Arabic music which is poetic in its core. Poetry allows her to paint with words, offering readers the opportunity to interpret her work in their own unique ways. Her poems have grown alongside her, shifting and taking on new meanings as she navigates the complexities of life.Nora's support system consists of her loving family, including her parents, Yasier and Amani, as well as her siblings, Fatma and Hassan. Beyond her passion for writing, Nora is an avid soccer fan, music nerd, explorer of fashion and cherishes her time spent with friends.Nora Elsayed is poised to leave her mark on the literary world, inviting readers to join her on a journey of self-discovery through the power of her words.
