Autorenporträt
Born and raised in California, O'resea Mitchell is known to be an exceptionally ambitious and resilient young woman. She started writing poems and short scripts when she was in elementary school. In junior high, she completed her first book, but was sadden when her computer crashed. "At that point, I was done with writing. It wasn't my goal to be an author. I was just doing it because I loved to write no matter how grammatically incorrect my style." She later attended Tuskegee University, where she received her Bachelors of Science in Biology. Her passion is medicine. However, being as ambitious as she is, she could never leave writing alone. She found her escape in creating drama. It was in college that she describes she began to write one of her many unpublished manuscripts. "Often times you hear medical school students explaining that you can't have your cake and eat it too. With all the hours it takes into being a success in medicine, I realized maybe I was too ambitious to pursue medicine immediately upon graduating. How then would I possibly be able to write books, become the CEO of a non-profit organization, start a family and keep my heads buried in text-books?" While attempting to be Superwoman, she realizes she is only human but never fails to dream great and pursue greater. "No endeavor I've ever set out to accomplish is greater than that of becoming a doctor. But every doctor needs a release outside of their career." Beyond being an author, a tutor, mentor, mother and future health care provider, you will find an inspirational and humble soul.
