From a young age, Jeanie was interested in "disaster preparedness" and "health and safety". She teaches First Aid classes and Disaster Preparedness Education. She was a national and local disaster volunteer for over 30 years, starting with the 1993 Malibu fires, 1986 Loma Prieta earthquake, 9/11 in NYC, 2005 Hurricane Katrina (to name but a few), an EMT for over 20 years, has served in non sworn Law Enforcement positions,and helped save many lives.
